#StorybookSTEM Challenge!

My husband and I are going on our fourth month of #quarantinelife. With both on us teaching online and having two daughters doing online school, we find there are days we don't talk to each other until after 3PM even if we are five feet from each other. We needed a little family bonding time to make us feel like we aren't terrible parents...

That's when we saw the idea of #storybookSTEM floating around on the internet. The idea is simple- read a cool book and build something relating to the book out of Legos. It could be a character, the setting or maybe even a prop.

We took a trip to my classroom and picked up three of our favorites: Not So Narwhal by Jessie Sima, Julian is a Mermaid by Jessica Love & The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. Our girls definitely impressed us with their creativity! Check out the results below.

We love involving people around the world in fun activities like this. If you're bored one day and more your own creation, why not share it with others at our Flipgrid here. We'd love to see what you made. Happy making!
